Three Day Cleansing Retreats (for Adults Only)
PURPOSE
A health enhancement program geared to rebuild, regenerate, recharge, rejuvenate, and kick start your health. Includes liquid fast, massages, colonics, daily health and nutrition seminars, vegetarian cooking demonstrations, nutritional counseling, and silence.
What will you learn?
- how to reconnect with your inner self
- how to balance body, mind, and spirit at home and in the work place
- how to shop and stock your kitchen
- how to eat healthy, cook healthy meals and dine out healthy
- how to decrease the excess amount of toxins by eliminating processed foods
What are the goals?
- extensive education on health, nutrition and life in balance
- education in maintaining a proper, practical, healthy lifestyle change when returning home or to your work environment
- education on food preparation as well as how to shop and stock one's kitchen as well as practical healthy restaurant dining
- education on the benefits of exercise and decreasing sedentary behaviors
- to cleanse the digestive system (specifically the large intestines and colon) of toxins
- to emerge with energy, vitality and an overall sense of rejuvenation
- increased mental alertness
AGENDA: From Friday (noon) through Sunday (6:00 pm)
Day One: Friday
From 12:00 pm to 2:30 pm the presentation and fasting begins. (Introduction, general overview of exercise, new food pyramid, the 3-4-4 method of eating, detoxify, Adler's holistic theory, where are you deficient?)
Break into two groups
Break: 2:30 to 6:30 pm.
Go to hotel gym, go hiking, or take a field trip to:
- Norton Simon Museum (Winter)
- Huntington Botanical Gardens (Spring & Summer)
- L.A. Aboretum (Fall)
Lymphatic massage (natural essential oil massage to keep the lymphatic fluid flowing; helps to facilitate the cleansing process for the colonic on Saturday) and Iradology OR Stone Massage and Iradology
Silence from 7:00 pm Friday to 7:00 am Saturday
Day Two: Saturday
From 8:00 am - 12:30 pm
Group 1: Colonic and nutritional counseling, new food pyramid, and the 3-4-4 method of eating
Group 2: Nutritional counseling, new food pyramid, the 3-4-4 method of eating and colonic
Break: 12:30 pm - 6:30 pm
Go to hotel gym, go hiking, or take a field trip to:
- Getty Museum (Winter)
- Descanco Gardens (Spring, Summer or Fall)
Ocean Mist Bath (green tea and seaweed) and massage or Seaweed detoxifying body mask and massage
Silence from 7:00 pm Saturday - 7:00 am Sunday
Day Three: Sunday
From 8:00 am - 12:30 pm
Group 1: Cooking demonstrations, food prep, how to shop and stock, practical healthy restaurant dining, reflexology and foot bath
Group 2: Reflexology and foot bath, cooking demonstrations, food prep, how to shop and stock, practical healthy restaurant dining
Silence from 12:30 pm to 4:00 pm
From 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Conclusion: All groups
Life in balance; Take it off and keep it off; Take it in and keep it in
Offered eight times a year:
- April (week 1, 2, 3, and 4) and in
- August (week 1, 2, 3, and 4)
STAFFING
Staffing will consist of a multi-disciplinary team. Those delivering services will be the:
- Executive Director
- Nutritionist
- Nurse
- Senior Psychologist
- Receptionist
Independent Contractors will be the following:
- massage therapist/aromatherapist
- reflexologist
- colonic-detoxification specialists
- iradologist (eye)
- trichatologist (hair)
LOCATION
The seminars will be held at Cayenne Wellness Center and Children's Foundation located in Glendale, California. The hotel will be in Glendale, CA - location TBA.
