Health and Wellness. Wellness is a healthy balance of the mind, body and spirit that results in an overall feeling of well-being. Rather than focusing on illness in human health, Cayenne Wellness Center developed a holistic approach years ago to empower individuals, families and communities to become aware of and make choices toward a more successful existence. We want to help individuals balance emotional, physical and social health to achieve overall health. We see patients for a wide variety of issues including, but not limited to:

PSYCHOLOGICAL TESTING / EVALUATION

PURPOSE

Cayenne Wellness Center is dedicated to ensuring the health and well being of our patients. In order to preserve the health and welfare of everyone, Cayenne Wellness Center combines mental health and nutritional education to serve the needs of the entire family. We are dedicated to improving the lives of children, adolescents, adults, cancer survivors, those with chronic illnesses and the general public. Our multi-disciplinary team of experienced professionals specialize in pediatric mental health and nutritional issues. We deliver first class, compassionate care in a nurturing, caring environment.

What will they learn?

Through our mental health facility, patients will learn to achieve their potential and positive emotional health. Through our individualized nutritional program, patients will learn how emotional difficulties impede their success in weight management and to overcome these difficulties with appropriate treatment options.

What is the goal?

To improve the nutritional and mental health of the public. Specifically, to ensure health promotion and disease prevention in children, adolescents, their families and the general population. This goal is achieved through education, research, public awareness initiatives and community outreach programs that promote good nutrition and mental health. We practice the science of helping people make changes in their lifestyle to improve their overall health and quality of life emotionally, physically, and spiritually.

AGENDA

Our highly qualified and experienced professionals will assess each unique situation to determine the most appropriate mental health treatment and nutritional health option available.

Outpatient Clinical Services. Our outpatient clinical services include individual psychotherapy, family counseling and group therapy. We offer intensive treatment for children and adolescents and families experiencing social, emotional, and behavioral difficulties that disrupt their lives at home, at school, and in the community. Our mental health treatment programs offer specialty services in the following areas:

Individualized Nutritional Program. Based on the same premise as our family based group seminar intervention program, individual participants will undergo comprehensive nutritional screening and assessment, psychiatric evaluation and treatment, and education on nutritional health. Specifically, they will receive information on how to maintain a practical, healthy lifestyle change (i.e., exercise, the New Healthy Pyramid, the 3-4-4 method of eating, how to shop, how to dine out, etc.), to assist with successful weight management, emotional healing, and overall improved quality of life. Although this program is for everyone, we highly recommend that children and adolescents participate in the family based program first. The individualized program is for adults who are unable to participate in the six week group program and feel that they would benefit from personalized attention.

LOCATION

All mental health services and individualized structured nutritional programs will be held at Cayenne Wellness Center and Children's Foundation in Glendale, California.
